Anamorphic flare colors
The horizontal streak is the most recognisable part of the anamorphic look. Its colour comes from the lens coatings, and many lenses are now sold in several versions.
The options
- Blue (42 lenses): the classic streak most people picture. Almost every budget line offers it.
- Neutral (9): Sirui and DZOFilm sell "neutral" versions. Sirui describes neutral flare as taking on the colour of the light source rather than adding a tint.
- Amber (14) and silver (15): offered by Blazar (Remus) and Laowa (Nanomorph); Blazar's Remus II 50mm is currently listed in silver.
- Gold (0): appears in our spec data for some Sirui lines. Sirui's store did not list gold variants for those products when we checked, so treat it as unverified.
Flare colour is usually fixed at purchase. If you want a different streak later, the cheaper route is often a second lens or an adapter, not a recoat. For dramatic streaks without anamorphic glass, some filmmakers use streak filters; that is not covered here.

"Store" means the colour appears in a variant title on the official store, and is not necessarily in stock. Mismatches: our spec sheet lists Sirui Saturn as silver/blue/gold, but Sirui's store sells it in blue and neutral.
