Laowa Nanomorph vs Sirui 1.33x
Both are small anamorphic primes for Super 35 / APS-C-sized sensors. The Nanomorph has more squeeze and three flare colours; the Sirui costs a fraction.
Price data: Sirui prices are tracked daily from Sirui's store. Laowa prices are not tracked: laowacine.com answers automated requests with a bot challenge, so we only have the list prices in our research snapshot. On 2 Nov 2026 Laowa's site also showed clearance listings (mirrorless $769–$1,889, PL/EF $1,049–$3,199, limited mounts and options); treat those as unverified. We have not tested either line.
The short answer
- Sirui 1.33x if budget comes first: $199 per lens new at Sirui's store, and open-box from $215. On a 16:9 sensor area, 1.33x gives ≈2.36:1 with no crop. Check coverage: the 35mm F1.8 only covers Micro Four Thirds.
- Laowa Nanomorph if you want a stronger 1.5x look, amber or silver flare, cinema-style housings and interchangeable mounts (including PL and DJI DL for drones). It costs several times more.
- Want 1.33x with autofocus? Sirui 20/40mm T1.8 S35 AF is $539.10.
